Ending Your Tenancy

Should you wish to terminate your tenancy you must provide the Association with 28 days written notice.  You can download the Termination of Tenancy Form or contact the office for one to be issued.  Once written notification has been received the Housing Officer will arrange with you to carry out a End of Tenancy Inspection with the Property Services Officer to ensure that you are leaving your the property in a satisfactory condition.

If there are any changes required in the house, for example, light fittings to be changed or doors to be changed or fitted you will be advised at the inspection by the Property Services Officer and the Housing Officer will confirm this in writing to you.

Please be advised that should you leave the property and you have failed to carry out what was asked you may be charged for the Association having to do these works on your behalf.

Your must ensure that you remove all belongings from the property including floor coverings unless otherwise agreed with the Housing Officer.

We have created an End of Tenancy Checklist for vacating tenants.

If you meet with all the requirements when ending your tenancy you may be entitled to a cash award as part of our End of Tenancy Reward Scheme.  Your Housing Officer will advise you in writing of what you have to do before leaving your property.
